Lawrence County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance to help solve a decades old mystery.  

In the late 1980's, some youth were playing in the woods (on FR 2210 between FR 1127 and FR1120, North of Verona, MO) when they came across a skull they believed to be human. 

It was disclosed to a parent who told the kids to throw it back where they'd found it... the skull was then tossed out in the weeds. 

The family that lived at the home subsequently & moved and many other families over the years lived in the area. 

We are hoping someone has knowledge or possession of a skull and they might not be 100% of the skulls origins and are willing to have theirs inspected.
