Search warrant nets drugs, stolen vehicle and several arrests

The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office along with the C.O.M.E.T. drug task force, Greene County Sheriff's Office and the Missouri National Guard served a search warrant in northern Lawrence County near Miller on Monday evening March 28, 2016.

A search warrant was obtained after a drug investigation and then served on Monday evening.  While serving the warrant, two people fled from a residence into a wooded area.  With the assistance of the Missouri National Guard Counter Drug Aviation Wing helicopter's FLIR unit, those two suspects were quickly tracked and taken into custody along with the assistance of Greene County's tactical team.

Two more suspects were taken into custody at the residence.  A large quantity of methamphetamine as well as drug paraphernalia was located as well as a stolen vehicle from another jurisdiction.

A total of four persons were taken into custody and were awaiting formal charges.
