The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office is currently on scene working a possible homicide investigation in rural Wentworth.

Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a residence in rural Wentworth after receiving reports of a disturbance and shots fired.  When Deputies and other responding officers arrived on scene a male subject was found to by lying in the yard and believed to be deceased.  It appeared as if the victim had received at least one gunshot wound to the chest.  The victim was a male approximately 25 YOA.

The Sheriff's Office believes that the victim and person of interest knew each other as there were several people at the residence at the time of the incident.

Currently the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office is seeking to locate Clinton Ross Blizzard W/M approximately 27 YOA of rural Wentworth for questioning.  Blizzard currently has a warrant from another agency and should be considered armed and dangerous.  If located, contact 911 immediately.  Do not approach or confront Blizzard.  He has been known to frequent the Jasper and Newton County area.
