Victim Advocate Service Temporarily Unavailable

05/01/2014

The Lawrence County Victim Advocate Service provided by the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office will be unavailable beginning Tuesday May 13, 2014.  Victim Advocate Kim Bishop-Jones will be accepting another position within the county and state government.

The Victim Advocate is funded by a state victim services grant as well as the Sheriff's Office budget and local grants and scholarships.  The Sheriff's Office will be working to fill that vacant position as soon as possible to continue to meet the needs of victims in Lawrence County.

Until that time, persons needing assistance with victim services, ex-parte's, orders of protection, etc. will need to contact the Lawrence County Circuit Clerks office located on the first floor of the Lawrence County Judicial Building.
