Lawrence County to host 700 hour training academy
The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office will be hosting a 700 hour basic law enforcement academy beginning August 16, 2011.
Graduates of the academy will have a Class A Missouri Peace Officer license. Graduates will be certified in numerous areas including, Taser, OC spray, First Responder, Defensive tactics, Standard Field Sobriety Testing, and Jail Certification among others.
Financial Aid is available for the Academy through Missouri State University. Anyone interested in attending the academy can download the application from www.mosheriffs.com.
