Sheriff's Office receives commendation from MSHP

The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office has received a letter of commendation from the Missouri State Highway Patrol's CJIS Division for outstanding performance and findings after the Sheriff's Office underwent a mandatory three year audit of its Uniform Crime Report procedures and documents.

The audit is conducted by the Missouri Highway Patrol every three years and the Sheriff's Office must meet specific criteria to ensure that reporting is done properly.  Lawrence County received a 100% score on the audit findings.  The next audit is scheduled for 2014.
