The statewide tornado drill will be conducted today Thursday March 11, 2010 at approximately 1:30 p.m.  The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office will sound storm sirens in Mt. Vernon, Pierce City, Stott's City, and Verona as part of the tornado drill. 

A test of the radio system and communication with area fire departments will also be conducted.  The statewide drill should end by approximately 2:00 p,m.
