Sheriff Brad DeLay announced today that the Lawrence County Jail is scheduled to reopen February 1, 2010.  Repairs have been completed after the jail was closed in July 2009 after safety concerns arose and inmates could not be kept securely.  The Sheriff will be hosting a media day on Sunday January 31, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. for area media to tour the facility and answer questions.  Details of the tour will be made available through local newspaper, radio and television stations.
