CCW Fees to be Reduced for Veterans and Active Military

12/16/2013

Effective January 1, 2014 the fees for CCW permits and CCW permit renewals will be reduced for Veterans and current members of the military.

Sheriff Brad DeLay announced that this reduction in fees was done in part after speaking with veterans and other people in regards to costs that continue to rise for them on other daily expenses.  After January 1, 2014 the fee for a CCW permit will be reduced from $100.00 to $50.00 for active duty military and veterans.  This reduces the cost by half.  Renewals for active duty military and veterans will be reduced from $50.00 to $25.00.

All laws already in place regarding CCW permits and renewals are still in effect.  Active members of the military and veterans must show proof of service in order receive the reduced cost.

The Sheriff's Office is changing the fee schedule for active duty personnel and veterans to show thanks to those who are and have served our country.
