Tip Leads to Drug Seizure

On 1-12-2012 a Lawrence County Sheriff Detective assisted by the Miller Police Department and the Department of Family Services responded to 619 E. Main in reference to a check the well being of the juvenile children residing at that residence. During their investigation a large amount of designer drug packages were found throughout the home along with a small amount of suspected marijuana and marijuana seeds. Also seized was a large amount of drug paraphernalia and plant cultivation material. Four adults and one juvenile child were home when officers arrived.

The material will be sent to the MSHP Crime Lab for analysis.

Investigation continues and formal charges are pending for those individuals involved.

In August 2011 all forms of synthetic marijuana were banned in Missouri. The products are often sold in packaging that says they do not contained banned ingredients and, in some cases, that they are not intended for human consumption.
