Long time Sheriff's Office Deputies to retire

01/04/2012

Several Lawrence County Sheriff's Office employees will be honored during a reception on Friday January 13, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Deputies Glen Matthews and Danny "D.R." Comer have served the citizens of Lawrence County for over 40 years each and have decided to "hang up the badge".  Deputy Kent Casey who served many years with the Missouri State Highway Patrol before joining the Sheriff's Office will also be retiring for service.

Also retiring is Pauline Gage, the victim advocate for Lawrence County.  Pauline has held that position since its creation in 2005.  Her dedication in serving victims of crime and continuing to grow and expand that role has led the Sheriff's Office to be a role model for other agencies around the state who are trying to create a position similar to hers.

Also retiring at the end of 2011 was long time Sgt. Jim Tennyson.  After serving the state as a Conservation Agent and retiring, Sgt. Tennyson continued to serve the citizens of Lawrence County with the Sheriff's Office.

Everyone is invited to wish our retiring employees and friends during the reception.  The reception will be held in the lower level of the Judicial Center in the Sheriff's Office training room.
