Law Enforcement Academy is underway

A total of 23 cadets, 7 women and 16 men, are attending the Missouri Sheriff's Association's Law Enforcement Training Academy.  This academy is being held in the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office's training room in the Judicial Center.

Students from all over southwest Missouri are attending the 700 hour law enforcement academy.  This academy will meet Tuesday and Thursday nights as well as Saturday's and some Sundays for the next 10 months.

When the students graduate, they will have earned a Class A Missouri Peace Office License which will allow them to further their career in law enforcement.
