Rural Aurora Man Arrested for Cultivating Marjijuana

On Monday July 26, 2010 a rural Aurora man was arrested for cultivating marijuana at his residence.  The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office was contacted with a tip that someone had discovered what they believed to be marijuana plants on the property. 

A Lawrence County Deputy went to investigate the tip and discovered 12 marijuana plants that were being grown by the suspect near the residence.  The man was arrested and taken to the Lawrence County Jail.  The plants were taken as evidence.  Charges are pending against the suspect at this time.
